To create a stronger and more prosperous community through enabling our newcomer youth to fulfill their educational, economic and social potential.
WES supports young women and men who have left unsafe situations in their home countries and are building new lives in central Vancouver Island.
Through offering funds to individual students and innovative community projects, we help young people overcome the barriers they face due to the challenges of resettlement in a new cultural and educational environment. We offer scholarships to assist deserving students gain access to, or maintain success in, extracurricular and post-secondary education programs. We provide grants for group projects that help students develop the necessary confidence and skills to be successful in the Canadian education system.
